Introduction to ATHE’s Level 3 Award in Education and Training
Our qualification in Education and Training has been developed to conform to the requirements of the RQF, to meet the requirements of the sector and to respond to the needs of our centres.
The aims of this qualification are to provide an introduction to teaching and training for those considering working in the teaching profession, delivering training as part of their role or just beginning their careers in these fields. The qualification will develop knowledge, understanding and the skills needed to be successful in a teaching or training role. It may be undertaken by individuals who are not currently in a teaching/ training role.
The ATHE Level 3 Award in Education and Training is a 12-credit Ofqual regulated qualification. It is a work related, practically oriented qualification designed to develop, knowledge, understanding and skills needed for progression to further qualifications and a career in education/training. Upon the successful completion of this course, learners will be awarded the ATHE Level 4 Diploma in Management Certificate.
Which Qualification Awarding Body Issues my Certificates?
ATHE is a global awarding organization regulated by Ofqual and other UK and international regulators. ATHE offers a wide portfolio of vocationally orientated and internationally recognized qualifications which include business and management, law, computing and healthcare. ATHE qualifications are approved as progression pathways to relevant Bachelor’s and Master’s Top Up degrees by a number of UK and international Universities, providing significant tertiary education opportunities for learners.
These qualifications are regulated by Ofqual and are listed on Ofqual’s Register of Regulated
Qualifications. Each qualification has a Qualification Number (QN). This number will appear on
the learner’s final certification documentation. Each unit within a qualification also has a Unit
Reference Number.

Method of Assessment
In order to successfully complete the ATHE Level 3 Award in Education & Training, learners must complete 2 mandatory units and 2 optional unit totaling 60 credits.

Admission Requirements
- You must be over the age of 19
- GCE Advanced Level profile with achievement in 2 or more subjects
- 5 GSCEs/SSCE at Grade C and above
- Other equivalent international qualifications

Access to our Online Learning Environment
This program is offered on a rolling basis through self-study and remote tutor support, this mode of study requires self-discipline and motivation to ensure the monthly deadlines are adhered to. We aim to support you to complete this program in 12 months on average (though it may be longer if the target dates are not met).
- You will be given access to the our Online Learning Environment which contains all the resources required to study each topic and then complete the Assessment Tasks.
- The course is self-paced and you can complete it in stages, revisiting the lectures at any time.
- There is a combination of formative and summative assessments to allow you to check your progress at the end of each section.
- Your Online Tutor contact details will be made available for your prompt support throughout your program.
- You have 12 months access to the online learning platform from the date you joined the course .
- Extension of Access to the online learning environment after 12 months will attract prorated cost based on course fees.
